Differences in dials - a thing of the past?

Hi guys,

Now that Rolex is acquiring all their suppliers, would that mean that dials will not have differences between them, compared to old models?

We have all noted differences in dials with Daytona (minutes 27 to 33 half markers, inverted 6, etc...), Submariners (feet before meters, gilt, etc...), however nobody noticed any differences yet with the new models like the GMTIIC...

My question would be:do you think these small differences in dials is a thing of the past? Will you miss it?

I bet it will still happen.... It might be more subtle though..

I think that the dies used to ink the dials are only good for a set number of stampings before they need to be replaced/cleaned. That means that there needs to be many changes or duplicates of these dies..

The more there are, the more likely there is for some variation..
