Destro on left wrist?

I have occasionally seen destro Panerais worn on the left wrist, but does anyone here strongly feels it looks awkward, or even feels awkward for those that have destros? This question was prompted by my seeing the Omega Ploprof which appears to be made with intention of wearing on left wrist…and it looks very cool as such. But initially I didn’t get the sense that a destro Pam on left wrist (or normal Pam on right) looked quite at home as the Ploprof. However, looking at pictures of the 1075 on left wrist started to look convincing.
I wonder if any on the forum feel strongly about this one way or another?
Ultimately, I agree that one should wear their watch as they choose and enjoy. So just interested in others’ preferences, if any.
Pictures always welcome, if available.
Thanks.

I don’t get the feeling it matters with the Panerai crowd how one wears a Panerai. Just a different vibe compared to the Rolex VTNR, where some “wrist police” fanboys think it “must” be worn on the right wrist.

Anyway, destro PAMs are a cool option.

That is a great example you highlight of the VTNR and the strong contrasting sentiment people tend to have about that. Many people have not been shy about voicing how awkward and “wrong” it seems to wear the VTNR on the left wrist; however, I’ve never seen a negative sentiment expressed about wearing a destro Pam on the left…not even from hardcore Paneristi. This “appropriateness” of wearing a Pam on left or right also seems to flow from its nature as a dive watch/tool, and the same applies to the Ploprof, again in contrast to the VTNR.
Thank you for highlighting this case; your comments change my perspective on the topic and puts it to rest in my mind.

Thank you, William. It seems I’m the only one who was ‘unsure’ or curious about this. But I am convinced now.

Watches have been worn on either wrist for decades.

What would be different except that one in a thousand or more might notice.

It wasn’t really about what others may/may not notice, but more so about Panerais with their prominent crown guards feeling or looking awkward to the wearers themselves if worn with the crown guard pointing up the arm toward them. Destroys is what I mostly had in mind, but this applies to regular pieces worn on the right wrist. Ultimately, your point sums it up since we see people wearing Panerais with backward facing crown guards for years.

I have worn the standard watches on my right wrist for decades. I now own a VTNR and think it's a great look and feel for a leftie. But for those who want to wear it, or any other "left handed watch" on their left wrist, enjoy!
Owning the VTNR has opened my eyes to possibly owning a destro.

These are all awesome wrist shots, and actually that much more interesting as destros on the left wrist. Thank you!

I have a couple of Non Pam Destro watches and wear them on my left wrist as i would any other watch
Its an odd sensation, having the crown bite into the other side of your arm for a change, but i see nothing wrong with it

If you cant wear a destro on your left wrist, then you cant wear a "regular" watch on your right wrist...
