Thoughts on this Cartier?

I'm thinking about gifting this Cartier tank with a factory diamond bezel to my wife as a birthday present.

She currently wears an exp1 as a daily and this would be a more dressy piece.

Thoughts? Is it too flashy? Right amount of bling? Would it suffice as a second daily/dress watch?

A few stock pictures I found.

I am really liking the tank lately. This looks really elegant with diamonds. I personally do not enjoy the quartz movement, but if that is not a concern, then I think it would be a great addition next to the explorer 1

Beautiful watch and a good choice. I gifted my wife the same watch, minus the diamonds, for Christmas. I was concerned the large model would be too big for her slight wrist, but it fit perfect.

I think the new le Must are a great new lineup. Better proportions, case and stem than the Solo. The one thing I would ask if your wife has an Explorer is is it too small at 25.5mm x 34mm?

She has actually tried on the L and XL. Large fits perfect. Her 39mm exp1 fits a tad large but she likes the look.

I just wonder if this model is too blingy for everyday use?

If this isn't going to be a surprise gift, just ask her if she likes this Tank.

It's going to be a surprise gift. She has mentioned that she likes both tank versions in large with and without diamonds. I just couldn't get which one she liked more. Mostly wondering if the diamond variant can be an everyday watch. I think although it depends on the person... this diamond bezel could be a daily watch.

As you said, depends on the person. Added benefit to diamonds is case 'bezel' scratches are probably greatly reduced. My Muse has banged up our XL after a few months of on-wrist time. To be fair, she's rather rough on timepieces. I'd go diamonds in this case. Am sure either way she'll love wearing it daily.

Then sounds like it’s not too blingy for her!

Its a very elegant classic. I think think the diamond version will look perfect on a woman. Maybe change the strap to alligator or calf and it will be perfect for daily wear. The strap it's on now seems a bit too much like its for evening events.

Great idea! Calf would be great to dress it down a bit and give it a more casual look.

As a Cartier watch owner & having tried on a number of their diamond/skeleton pieces that is a very solid choice for a lady. Great contrast & entirely different look to the explorer which is ideal for a 2 watch collection

White dial is classic Cartier territory, I must admit my cartier de Santos is in the blue & although the market price is higher than the white & blue is stunning, I kinda wished I got the white
