demagnetizer usage
Hi gents I picked up this little demagnetizer. What's the best procedure to use in order to demagnetize a Rolex? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Multipurpose...item46050a16b4

If it didn't come with instructions I'd contact the seller and ask for some...

That demagnetizer won't do you much good if you're trying this with a watch in a case. This is more suited for a movement that's not cased up.
FYI, I would strongly discourage anyone to demagnetize a watch unless you're 100% sure that your watch is magnetize. There is potential to do damage to your escapement if you're not sure what you're doing.

Vanessa, could you elaborate on demagnetizing damage. I thought that degaussing the watch just set it back to a magnetic neutral and that no damage could be done to a non or mildly magnetized watch head. Thank you...

I may depend on the type of demagnetizer used (I'm really no expert on the whole physics) but I know I have personally MAGNETIZED a watch before by trying to demagnetize it.
