Submariner case back on Sea-Dweller

Would it be possible to fit a case back from a Submariner 16610 on a Sea-Dweller 16600 to make it slimmer?

Buy a Submariner Date and fit a Daytona crystal if you want a thinner SD.

This SD is my first Rolex and a keeper forever. I would not mind it being a bit less thick though

Understandable.

I'm personally not aware of a different caseback that will fit the 16600. A lot of the height is in the case and crystal rather than the caseback, so I can't say you'd be able to slim it down much.

It is likely that most other same-size case-backs will screw right on.

Whether they contact the movement, or if you realize what you seek, might be trial-and-error.

I know that a 16710 back will fit on a 16610. I also know that a 16760 back will not fit on a 16610 and a 16660 back is different too. The diameter of the threaded part is different. I would be curious about whether a sub and sea dweller back are interchangeable too.
