Speedmaster Price Range Reasonable?
Hello all,
I was wondering if you find reasonable the price range of the plethora of speedmasters out there given you can find almost what you want in the lower end of the range. Is there any technology or the exhibition caseback playing any role? I think it's a perfect and iconic chronograph no matter what. |

Well the omega stores do not discount much in my experience but omega AD’s do by around 20% and even more than that by gray dealers. Given I was able to get a great deal from a well respected gray market dealer with warranty cards, I went with him. I don’t find the omega suggested retail problematic as one is able to find them cheaper. This is really the case with most luxury brands (except Rolex SS models, some AP and Patek).

I guess the multitude of choice also plays an important role...

I think they are very reasonably priced- there are tons of nice quality used Omegas listed here and on ebay.

The basic Moonwatch seems like a pretty good value at well under $4000 from a trusted seller but I have a tough time understanding why a Speedy Tuesday or some of the others are somehow worth twice that.
