Panerai 000 trade for Tudor GMT

Would you trade a Panerai PAM000 base logo for a Tudor GMT?

Not.

If money is not an issue, add the GMT and tuck your 000 away for a few months. If you then find you’re not missing it, then sell it on. Depending on which GMT you’re planning on acquiring, you’re likely to get a much better deal in your favour by selling your PAM and going for the Tudor with cash.

In my very limited experience of Panerai, a 000 is a real classic and is unlikely to depreciate in value and might even appreciate, especially if it’s in good condition and you have the box and papers. I’d hang on to your PAM if you can.

I would not recommend. Having 000 in my stable it is one of last Panerais I would sell.

As Paul said consider adding then replacing.

In addition 000 has been discontinued and will be hard to replace n future unless you will be willing to compromise and get 1000. I wouldn't.

No.

Buy a new strap and let the “new watch urge” pass.... the Zero is a keeper.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to keep my 000 but will probably get the Tudor GMT in the near future.

I agree with Mr Jones; smart move. IMHO, if you move your 000 without some very careful and protracted thought then I think it’s a decision you would come to regret.

To be perfectly frank, and with respect Sir, if you trade your 000 for a Tudor then you have rocks in your head.

However, if you do decide to move your PAM, then offer it to one of us here before trading it to a dealer.* At least then you would know that your watch has gone to a ‘risti that would love and cherish it forever, therefore your conscience would be clear.

Tempting trade as tudor GMT is quite hard to find but I'd keep the 000

Recently I saw 000 asking for higher price than 176/177 in some dealer, that shows the actual value proposition of 000....

Few years ago I was offered to trade my painted dial 111 with 219,I refused the trade but still ended up with 219 later down the line...

IMHO the 44mm Panerai's are the most comfortable watches I've ever worn. So many regrets selling mine for a 372. I wish I had kept both..
