I like it! Good for him. Lord, I HATE a thief.

I'd like to see more grenade or flechettes and less glitter, but that's just me.

It's nuts. My ring doorbell has a few post a day for our neighborhood (certain radius around my location) reporting stolen packages with video. I couldn't believe how often it happens.

I had to anchor down our Christmas lights because they were stolen one year....wanted to coat them in broken glass.

Baffling, Christmas lights what’s the point?
They’re just stealing random packages too? I just had shower sandals delivered for the gym shower/locker room. People are risking going to jail/charges for crap like that? Unbelievable

I've yet to experience any issues with stolen packages yet but then again I've opted to hold packages at a Fedex location, UPS access point, or the Post Office for pickup whenever possible. It maybe a bit inconvenient to go pick them up but I would rather do that then have to deal with something if it where to come up missing. Besides they arrive earlier this way.

Other items I have shipped by law have to be shipped elsewhere so I don't even have to worry about those.

We had a couple packages disappear the last couple years. Amazon now takes photos when they drop all packages off. We added cameras and last year I put a couple dog turds out of the yard in an Amazon box and set it on the porch after we had one stolen. Thief returned and took that one. That’s when we added cameras.

These people are sociopaths. They steal them because they can, not because they have any rational expectation of getting something they need.

My Daughter owns a unit in a highrise (I guess you would call it a "Condo")
As a single person who lives alone and works shifts, she found a 'food concept' that works really well. Each week the company delivers a package of ingredients and recipies for a weeks worth of evening meals. There is no wastage and the recipies are all good.
Unfortunately some scumbag has stolen the last two packages from outside her unit door. This would be the people you greet in the lift and see in the parking garage.
They would probably not see themselves as criminals.

Frankly I don’t understand why people are surprised. I understand the outrage and disappointment I just don’t understand why people are surprised.

The real shocker is the amount of people who have a problem with this retribution! They feel badly for the thieves??? I don't understand. They've evidently never had anything stolen.

Genius video!

The youtube commenters don't realize that rigging it with explosives would be illegal. Even pepper spray or paintballs might be illegal. You can't mete out vigilante punishment for non-violent theft

Yeah, that's just too bad really. In fact you best get out there and make sure you shovel and salt just to make sure the low lifes don't slip and fall or they might sue you.

Thats just too bad. I'm sure it'd have a big "impact" on cutting down theft.
