The 42mm Seamaster 300M on a 6.3" wrist?
Hi,
I'd like to hear some input on this combination? Usually I would say anything above 40mm is a no-go for me, however looking at some photos the 42mm Seamaster looks to be similar in size as the 6 digit submariner. I'd hate to look like a kid wearing his fathers watch. Any small wristers here with the 300m? |

6 1/2 inch wrist. I got it on rubber strap so it wont look big. Doesnt look and feel big at all. 42mm is the new normal. Rubber strap is comfortable. I went with blue in connection to the bond seamaster of the 90s. Very satisfied with this watch

Close up pix are always difficult to compare Bert.
Main thing is you are comfortable wearing your watch.

Just my humble opinion, but that looks big.
But it doesn't matter what I think. All that matters is how you feel. Wear it with confidence and in good health. |

Wrist size and watch diameter do not really mean anything, they should just be used as indicators, e.g. you could have a "flat" or "round" wrist, and a 42mm watch could have straight or curved lugs, not to mention the thickness of the watch.
Long story short: try it. |

I bought it, tried wearing it for 2-3 days, didn't work.. it's just too big. Feels to big, looks to big for me.
Love the watch though. Had it been 39-40mm it would be a true contender for an everyday watch.... It sucks because I really fell in love with it. I'll be selling it and get a YM40 (which actually measures 38.5 across). |

It does not wear very large, and it looks smaller on the rubber strap. To my eyes it's the perfect size, but I do have a larger wrist.

Try out the white dial version w/ rubber strap if the others seem too big. Normally white dials have a more prominent / larger look, but in this case it leaves the black bezel sorta unnoticed, hence a slightly smaller look.

In today’s age, I don’t think it will look too big. Hockey pucks are kinda the norm. It’s a teeny bit larger than the modern sub but not enough to make a difference. If it’s comfortable for you and you’re cool with it, go for it.

I wear mine more regularly than my other watches. Im comfortable with it especially on rubber strap doesnt make it look big at all.
Just an awesome looking watch. My main quip is probably the timing bezel. So hard to turn Sent from my SM-A920F using Tapatalk |

The 42mm Seamaster 300M on a 6.3" wrist?
My wrists are close to 7.5” and it definitely wears bigger than my Submariner 114060. I could wear it, but if you have wrists less than 7”, then I’m not so sure.
42mm case size, lug to lug size is 50mm. People are going to tell you it wears small or you could wear it, but I say BS. It was striking how much bigger it wore than my Submariner and Speedmaster Pro on a leather strap. I still might get one. I really like it a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Its so much more complicated than the actual size. It wears way bigger than a speedy because of the large empty dial. And it even wears bigger than my 44mm panerai 233. Proportions and type of watch tell the real story

I have a relatively small wrist and mine wears like a champ, especially with the micro adjustment.
