Funny thing that most of RM biggest watches are worn on tiny 6 inch wrists...

A friend of mine was offered a 72-01 the other day by the RM boutique. Is this a sought after watch? He has no purchase history with RM but a great collection of super rare AP & Patek.

Haha, so true. I’d love a RM but the 67-02 is probably the only one i could wear because of my wrists, and even that might be too big.

The RM 005 is good size and thickness plus 100 meters water resistant.

Is it the direct replacement for the 11?

I've been confused by the 72-01 previously (which turns out is not the direct replacement).

$310k USD, I believe.

I miss the days when the 11-03 was in the $170's.

As far as I can tell, the demand for the 72-01 isn't even remotely close to the 11-03. That, and the 11-03 became an investment piece that speculators would hoard.

I thought that unavailability dice will roll in the 72-01 direction... like the Rolex one that started with steel Daytona and made almost every other steel Rolex unavailable... same path was started with RM male tonneau models from 035,055 and 011 to 029, 030... I think they made (and marketed) 72-01 too feminine with those hands and whole campaign... and I don't speak about the size because my favorite RMs are pre 011 in smaller size...

No dimensions in official press release, and RM website have all details except case dimensions :)

Looks like a little bit larger 11-03...

I find all the wording on the pushers rather unnecessary, doesn’t the typical RM client know which button to press to operate a chronograph?

Me too, but that was part of 011 from the start... 050 with simmilar pushers layout does 't have any wording... more odd is date around... well date window ... they didnt even used that on supercomplicated 039...

Hope it's thinner than the 35-01 and 02

I’m toying with the idea of getting an RM - is the 72 one I could get within a year from a boutique or should I be looking to go grey?

I’m only looking at one now and don’t see a future for many in the collection

I find RM10 too thick for the size. 005 much better proportion and much higher WR rating too than the RM10.
