Third G Shock in the last 2 months. Becoming a problem. This one is pretty awesome though.

Bold move my friend! I couldn’t do it, lol. I settled on the “silver” bling.

Imagine you got the 18k one?!

I like the G-Lide on the left (I like them all!). I’m looking at the JDM model with negative display, multi band and tough solar.

The one you have I believe is the only one the original designer of the Square wears.

That's like an end all be all for a G-Shock in my opinion. If I were to recommend one square G-Shock to someone it would be that 5610.

But I'm a sucker for colors and negative displays and all those other doohickeys that jazz them up

For me it’s just the squares. It’s the the nostalgia, and the toughness of them.

Same. I have a couple non-squares but they're used for abuse like when I go fishing or swimming in the ocean.

As far as nostalgia you can take a look a few posts up at my 1990's inspired Retro Classic Teal Purple GWB5600BL-1. It came out last year in a 5 different models. This is the only square one.

Here are some of the fruits of my profits from selling the CasiOaks I acquired. I’m a huge lover of the Squares so here’s some JDM models I’ve wanted. Got them FedEx 2 day from Japan with free shipping.

Preliminary shots straight out the box.

I went through a G-Shock phase a while back. :-)
And no, I'm not winding them on the winder - just stored in there. Haha

Interesting storage idea! Like when I get a piece of exercise equipment and it becomes a glorified clothes rack!

Good thing with your cool G's are that they'll always be functioning, don't need service and you can wear them whenever. Plus we're not breaking the bank when we see something we like in the lineup.

I've always loved the squares. Reminds me of being 10 years old again and wearing my first square Casio that I picked up with my dad and grandfather from a now, long defunct electronics store. Today, they carry the same look but with all the modern technology, awesome colors, and toughness.

Thanks. I think so too. I do a lot of fishing so I'm looking forward to trying out the tide feature. It's a also pretty sharp looking so I can wear it casually in the summer. The other carbon fiber one is also pretty cool. The band is neat and different from all the other resin ones on my G's. It's beyond lightweight too, like a feather. Also sporty looking and good for all around wear in a pinch or when in the mood.

Haha yeah I'm guilty of that too - we currently have a treadmill with piles of clothes on it. And I agree on the G Shocks - I wear them pretty frequently and love that they are "low maintenance" in so many ways.

I picked it up NOS a couple of years ago. It’s the Japanese version which I believe has a different outer box as well. It’s great fun.

They do not. Just gives it a more rugged look and a little more protection. I wear these watches to work and in the yard so they get banged around a lot.
