Stunning in RG!
Really liking the look of the new bracelet and clasp. Great upgrades and can’t wait to view one.

So, they’re keeping the “manned” engraving on the back. The hoopla “human” caused was very amusing.

The new bracelet with the taper is nice and has grown on me. But the watch basically looks the same as the previous one so I won't be making the switch any time soon. Glad I got mine before the price hike as well.

I hope I’m being pessimistic, but if I was in the market for the real deal right now, I would go with the 1861. Even as a discontinued watch, it’s space credentials are far more solid than any other watch and other than the one very minor tweak is the same as the watches worn since the Apollo era. I also wonder if this will mark a new era where omega begins tweaking the moon watch more often, to generate more fanfare and sell more. The appeal of the 1861 is that it was and is a new vintage watch that has been worn in space, countless hours. The same cannot he said for the new version, al least not yet. The new version is not evolution, the movement is quite different, albeit better and the tweaks to the dial, an homage move blending old and new elements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bought mine at an AD a few weeks ago and told it was the last Hesalite they’d have before the new ones came. Figured it was just BS because they still gave me a 20% discount. New ones are nice and I like the certified chronometer aspect along with the new bracelet. I immediately removed the bracelet and wear on a NATO. I think I’d actually use this new bracelet.

It looks great, but does anyone else feel that the 3861 should have had a column wheel like the 321? The Swatch group managed to put a column wheel on some Longines chronographs that are based on modules that don’t have one. So even though the 1861 doesn’t have one, I feel that adding one to the 3861 would have really turned the page. Anyone else?

I'm looking forward to seeing the new watch.
I'm trying to work out what the differences in the cases are between it and the just replaced version. |

Holy MSRP lol.
I remembered I paid ~$7k CAD after taxes for the sapphire with discount. Now MSRP is $9700 CAD before taxes. |

My 3750 is incredibly sentimental so replacement was never on the table, but I was hoping for a bracelet upgrade out of all this. Not a fan of how it turned out- far too busy- guess a hunt for a 1450 is still in my future.

I’m not happy about the increase either, and who is. But I have a bigger issue with the 13k Daytona that is only famous for its association to hype and the salad dressing guy. The moon watch is perhaps the most significant wrist watch out there. It is hard to think of better chronos for the money. I mean the Tudor black bay heritage chrono with the B01, and perhaps that seiko reissue from a couple years ago with a column wheel are the only two that comes to mind.

Side by side the new and old / 3861 vs 1861
Case shape is different so I don’t think new bracelet will fit 1861 model 🥲 Please tell me I’m wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

FYI, if you didn't already know, there is another clasp and end link set you can get for the Speedy bracelet. Made big difference for me |

They have moved the dot next to the 90 a fraction of a mm.
What else do you get for all that extra £££ ? |

Seeing them side by side above, I prefer the aesthetics of the old bracelet. A bit chunkier, less taper, but the centre links seem better proportioned. Do we know if the bracelet is actually more tapered on the new one or if it’s just the rendering? Do we know the clasp dimensions on the new one vs the old one?

Overall nice upgrades and look. However, I was hoping for a ceramic bezel (at least on the sapphire version) and an on-the-fly adjustable clasp.

Is the dial in the new SS version the same as in the SS 321?

Massive difference for me, taper to 15mm, and a much sleeker and classier looking clasp as well..
