Poll: 2*0*1*6 ASIA International GTG Poll...

Had a nice chat with Gerardo via Skype and through the process of his working to get the next TRF Get Together well.. together we have noticed that..

There has been a really great response and a lot of interest by many to attend. However for some members in Asia they may be unable to make a North American GTG. As well for some in North/Central/South America they may not be able to make an Asia GTG if it polled out as the place to have it.

With that in mind we thought it would be a good idea to have two. One in North America as per Gerardo's poll and one in Asia via this poll. Of course all members are welcome to attend either or both regardless of where you live.

So I have narrowed down the choices for the Asia GTG to three based upon the responses I have seen so far.

1. Hong Kong
2. Tokyo
3. Bangkok

I will keep the poll open for a month. Once we have decided on a location the time and date will be worked out.

Cheers all. Let's do this!

Tom

Not sure Mark. We can all work that out after we choose a location. Did you cast your vote?

Haven't voted yet. HK would be the easiest for me but I was looking for an excuse to go to Tokyo.

I think with the weak yen and 8% tax refund combined with the great shopping there it would be a good place for the GTG especially if members are flying in and looking to buy.

To our fellow members in Europe we don't want you to feel slighted. We just felt that the recent UK and Belgium GTGs have been rolling along well. Great excuse for you to come to Asia or North America. Or both.

Any of the 3 will be good :)
I'm in HK, but I'd like to go back to Tokyo for some nice watch sightseeing or to BKK for some nice food!

Tie-Land it is! Bangkok tends to be a more affordable city than Tokyo or HK.

Plus, the diving in that neighborhood is excellent for those that enjoy blowing bubbles.

Ok Tokyo and Bangkok are picking up steam. This is gonna come down to the wire. Though I voted of course all options work for me. Tokyo, close. Tons of rolex shops and get to drink beer with Otto again.

Hong Kong. Tons of rolex shops. Never been there and would love to see it. Get to drink beer with Mark again and meet Adam.

Bangkok. Now that could be a wild get together. Great food and cheap cold beer.

There is a theme here... Cold beer!

Sorry, guys. I could not make an Asian GTG. But I probably can do an American GTG.

All are comparable distance from Australia, I voted Tokyo only because I have spent less time there and my wife wants to go to Tokyo Disneyland for some reason, which is a reason for me to go and tour the more important parts of Japan and hopefully time it with a grand sumo tournament.

Will do my best to make which ever vote comes in.

Do you have a rough idea on dates?

I can nonrev to Toykyo or HK out of my homeown easily. Maybe I can make both GTGs.

I'm going to abstain from voting as its only 50/50 if I would be able to attend.

That would be great! Sorry Jason no date yet. I will wait until the poll closes and we can work on a date. I am pretty much ok any date.
