18k datejust 16018
Hello everyone, this is my first post/question here. I have a question that is puzzling me and the Rolex dealer in Carmel, CA. I own a model 16018 Rolex DateJust with original 18k polished and brushed jubilee band (hidden clasp). My understanding that is should be a regular size 36mm gents. When I measured the case, it turned out to be around 35.5mm. the local expert insisted that I measured wrong then he looked it up and told me that it is slightly under 36mm but he still doesn’t believe it lol . I know its not one of those few 34mm ones. Can anyone explain this please? thank you

Watch sizes (esp. when quoted by manufacturers) tend to be rounded to the nearest mm. So your 35.5mm is essentially 36mm. Are you using a digital caliper? Try measuring the diameter from several different points. Probably the most accurate would be from 12:00 to 6:00 (remove the bracelet first).
