I'm a die hard Patek fanatic, but I will say, amongst the general population of the world, Rolex is far more coveted.
Most non-watch nerds don't even know about Patek. Everyone knows about Rolex, even people who don't care about watches. |

I'd wager most "average" Rolex buyers don't ever really find out enough to care about Patek and AP. That's been my experience, anyway. And since Rolex sells >10x the number of watches per year compared to Patek, this isn't really a surprise to me. They just have vastly more reach, and compared to their competitors who have just as much reach, they're at the top in terms of brand power. |

I’m so happy this is the case. There’s too much spill over from Rolex to Patek as it is. I hope Patek stays relatively low key at least until I get my 5711.
