Is it Safe to Wear your Rolex When Being Chased by Bad Guys?

No it is not safe. On a lark I watched Marathon Man last night (1st time). The only thing more painful than the torture scene was when Dustin Hoffman sold his GMT Master 1675 for 10 cents to make an urgent call. Personally I'd have called collect!

I haven't seen that film in what, twenty years?

I do remember the torture scene and the intensity of the film.

That must have been a very important phone call.

You know Hoffman stayed up for about two days preparing for that scene and when Olivier saw him, he asked Hoffman if it wouldn't be easier just to act, or words to that effect.

It wasn't painful to the person who bought a rolex for $.10.
