Swim on ocean no.....wash with soap and water yes....but I would make sure crown and pushers are screwed down tight....although it should not matter it’s just an extra precaution I take......I would stay away from the ocean just in case some how it came off....I’m a dark water ocean it would be lost....

I'd try to determine if these are correct service hands that Rolex installs when servicing 16520s, like other parts that are slightly different than the originals.

Either way, perhaps you could track down an original-style set of hands and have them installed. It's a really nice-looking 16520. Good examples of the black dials are not that easy to find any more.
Rolex still manufacture the thin hands I believe, but the part codes aren't publicized.

Green. Same green color as other “Swiss Made” Rolex models in the 2000s.

Should I go to Rolex in order to have the sealing verified?

They won't do that, not in NYC anyway. They require a service to ensure water resistance. But any competent watchmaker should be able to pressure check the watch for water resistance.

Congrats,
This is a great watch to have in a collection.
Be careful though, the movement has no hacking, and never ever try to hack the second hand by reversing the crown gently, this will block the mechanism.
Other than that, no problem.
Enjoy it in good health.
Send us pics when you can.

Thanks for your thoughts ! I didn't know for the no hacking, it will be familiar to me as my 5513 doesn't have it either

I'm afraid I do not understand that : "never ever try to hack the second hand by reversing the crown gently" I shall no go back when I set the time? Thanks

Some guys slightly wind the crown back on non-hacking watches when setting the time to stop the seconds hand, thereby allowing them to hack, to a certain degree. (Not great for the movement, I've read.)

Never understood the phenomenon of hacking anyway. Who cares? The absolute best mechanical movements in the world regulated by a Yoda watchmaker can lose/gain a second or two a day. So, your hack is lost within 24 hours anyway. Sure, perhaps it's important if you're James Bond, but does anyone else really need that feature?

I do not need this feature for sure but I want to be sure I do not anything wrong. Last verification, the bracelet should be a 78390A with 803B SEL. What about the clasp code?
Thanks

For an A serial, it should probably be an Z, W or X, with another number for the month it was produced.

Looks beautiful. Big congrats!

My absolute favorite sapphire Daytona. Prices only going up on these. And more importantly, just a super cool, handsome watch.

My favorite too, I find it incomparable with the 116520 and 116500 because of its finesse, the markers, hands and bezel. Everything looks tiny and much more elegant and at the same time more sportive than my subs for exemple.

Thank you I forgot to mention the big difference is also the brushed of the lugs, it calms the watch and the polished bracelet reminds the polished bezel...I have this 16520 was a success..
