Dial refinishing
Can someone point me to a company who does quality dial refinishing and/or specialty dials? I wish to redo an Oysterdate 6694. Thanks

Do a search for Time Delay Corporation, Dallas, TX. They do quality, high end dial refinishing work. They also do all the other Rolex repairs.

Interesting and good looking watch.. I'm not sure I would do anything as it does add to it's originality and probably only shows up under certain lighting...
A refinished dial will only repair the spotting and retain the original (almost) value, so you do want to be careful.. a redial, where they take everything off and repaint is not the way to go as then you essentially have have a fake product.. Have you looked into a new dial replacement from Rolex??? You may give Bob Ridley ( watchmakers.com ) a call and ask if he can do it, or some recommendations for a reliable firm.. There are a few places that do good work.. You might also search the forums as some have mentinoned several good shops used by vintage collectors....

Fingernail polish & gold leaf would make for a nice custom dial...Good luck!

Thank you all. Good suggestions and advice. Excuse the previous typo. It is an Oysterdate 6494 from 1959.

I like Time Delay. Great work, even on custom diamond bezels. I'm having a non quickset Day/Date blue Diamond dial refinished back to the original champagne gold with stick markers. Prices are reasonable too.

Before you do anything to that dial, take 3-4 months and see if you can find an original dial loose on Ebay, TZ or here. They're out there and you can swap while keeping the original dial in the vault for resale.
My guess is you will find one in the $100-$150 range (less than refinishing that one) and swap it for $40. Take your time. I spent 6 months looking for the correct bark bezel for an 18078 - but it was well worth it in the end.
