5524 on rubber?

Thinking about putting a 5524G on rubber to get a sportier casual look. Anyone done it? Would it work?

Put mine on the blue aquanaut strap for a more sporty look for my holidays a couple of years back

Just the kind of style I am looking for! Pics look good although maybe there's a gap there at the case?

Would you do it again on that or another rubber? What do you typically wear it on?

… from a 5168?

How did you get it to fit properly given the 2 metal prongs that protrude from the end section?

Never tried a rubber strap on mine but I did try a nato strap. Just to change it up I think is good , and then you can fall back to the regulars brown and blue straps

X2?

Would also be nice with the time only version on its way.

Machined the pins down so it didn't rub against the case

I liked the look of the strap but I didn't like the fit to the case. For a travel time it's a watch I never take on holiday with me as it is usually worn on a tan ostrich strap on WG deployment clasp and I don't like wearing straps in the sun.

How about sailcloth? Anyone tried it?

Kind of like the 5326 black strap.

I absolutely love this look! You've got me thinking of getting a brown one for my 5524R. Was it a difficult process to machine down the pins? Did you get the aquanaut rubber from an AD?
I'm really thinking of doing this..

If you like it..it works. For me personally…no. I think leather looks the best by far. Different color leather straps work well with the G or the R

I agree that this watch was meant for a leather strap. I've tried it on different colors to varying degrees of success. My problem is that my watches on leather tend to languish in the safe yet I really love this model. If I were to find a suitable alternative I might actually wear it.

This is my go to strap. A tan ostrich Jean Rousseau. Got to say Pateks offering is very poor for this watch.

Will take some pics of the pins when I get chance. I bought the blue strap for my 5968a as orange far too noticeable nowadays and not a fan of the black strap.
