Omega Speedy Vs Radiomir.
Simple question ,
What do you guys think , Between the Omega speedy on strap (don't like the Omega bracelet) or a Base Pam Radiomir 380, which one would you pick and why. Don't need and won't use the chrono so that's not a point, looking more at reliability ,style etc., it'll be a part of a small collection and the only one on a strap. I like the Radiomir case, had two Luminors in the past an sold them both, personally I prefer the Radiomir case. Thanks. |

I like the manual speedy pro.. love the movement in there and feel it’s a lotta bang for your buck.. also feel it can be a great daily.. but it always comes down to what you imagine you would want to wear most

Pretty different watches IMO... i own both (moonwatch and 42mm manual wind radomir) and speedy gets more wrist time and is more fun to play around with straps. I do use the chrono periodically to time stuff like grilling and my kids reading or piano times. Good luck w your decision, can’t go wrong.

As above, I like the radiomir more as well, the omega bracelet, it’s a turn off for me.

I prefer the speedy. More history, useful complication, and I like it better aesthetically

The PAM, but, I would go for the 183 over the 380.

Not a real contest for me as I've never been a Panerai fan and the other option is an icon.

I owned a Speedy, so I vote for the Radiomir. The Speedy was pretty dull looking on the bracelet.

Speedy all day every day. It is one of the best, if not the best, chronograph dials out there. Hard to articulate but every time I strap mine on I just think, perfect.

Well guys thanks for all the replies decision has been made after trying both this week.
Went with the Radiomir , I didn’t like how thin the Speedy strap looked and how it tappers from 20mm to 18 IMO it looks a bit too narrow for the case ,also a 15% discount and 2 yrs extended warranty from the AD helped a bit on the Rad. While looking at these watches one that really catched my attention and might get one in the future was the JLC Polaris Date , the dial is super nice and the rubber strap super comfortable. Pics or it didn’t happen . Also tried this one,it’s nice and different but personally I wouldn’t spend this amount on a Panerai and it wears a bit too big for my taste. Panerai for me . I believe that the Pam is the best watch out there to swap straps on and honestly several would damn good on a bracelet.

I'm happy with the Radiomir ,Like i said earlier the JLC Polaris catched my attention but after reading a few threads looks like they had some issues with the gaskets and so now I'm thinking on adding the Speedy. ,Christmas is around the corner
