anyone got the aquanaut? I am after one in the UK...

now I know they don't release too many of them and there's a wait list... just what are the chances?

Preferably the 5167A

Very very tough to get so you are looking secondary market most likely

Are the 5167 in such high demand these days? I just had a look at C24 and even the cheapest preowned 5167s are priced around 6k above MSRP.

which makes the case for the 5164a even stronger as you can still get those at retail, from an AD in a reasonable timeframe. I prefer the look of it anyway, but it becomes a better comparable value too when having to decide based on most likely the only option available: one at secondary prices vs the other at retail

Just seen 4 blue and 2 white Nauts for sale on WF, more than I can remember for a long time so maybe the market is plateauing, at £40-2K for the blue. Still no 5164a there so these might still have some way to go.

I was told I would get my 5164 in 2019. Not sure that’s reasonable, but quicker than the time quoted for the 5167. Good luck.

we are pretty close to 2019 now so it seems pretty good as that means you could theoretically be getting the next one that comes in, but definitely there would be less than a handful of people ahead of you with that timeframe.

Sorry to break it to you, unless you pay the premium on secondary market...

Best of luck. Better get one now because next year I hear they are updated it and only doing 42 mm ones.

It has always been a hot ticket in the UK, the first one I owned I ended up selling to a gent from the UK, who flew to another city in Europe to meet me at the airport to pick it up. Now that is motivated buyer.

an entire product line at 42mm. I cant see it. I quite like the 5968 but the 5168 is too thin to have that diameter.

You should have no problem if you contact your friendly neighborhood AD where you got your RG YM

Trust me mate, that’s not how it’s working right now in the UK, my older brother and his colleagues have many many many Patek’s that they’ve all sourced from the same AD, and even they can’t get me on a list!!

If I could find a 5164A for retail or even just wait 3-6 months I would...! Tbh I'm on a lookout for the 5164R + A. I'd get both. Throw one in a safe and forget about it. Use the other as a beater.

The Patek London salon told me the wait for the 5167r was just over a year with them, so I’d hope you could find a 5164r almost immediately with a regular AD.

the salon has the worst waitlists in the UK probably. Everyone goes there.

they told me the wait to try on a 5905P was 4 months, seriously. Didn't actually take that long, but still.

Yep - this is why I think a 5164r should be easy to get.

Watch Centre on Bond St. has a preowned 5164A for £27k (but only with service papers though which might be a deal breaker)

How easy / approx £ do you reckon it would be to swap my 2017 5167 for a 5164?

Come to think of it.....

If that were to be true.....

1. 5167 will be discontinued...

2. You will expect the new 42mm suggested retail price will cost more than the 5167 by 10%

3. The secondary market price will shoot up on the 5167 because not everybody can pull off wearing a 42mm....

Just like the example of the Rolex SS Daytona 116520 VS 116500 price trend....

You already have a lovely YM on rubber strap, why not go for a different PP model. I would look at 5164 if you really want a sports patek on rubber.

I am considering getting a 5164 - looks so much nicer than the 5167 and has a really useable complication. Wears slightly larger too which is perfect for me.

Also really like the look of the 5168G. What the availability like on that?

My suggestion is to visit a grey market dealer and try them all on. Personally I prefer the size and simplicity of the 5167. I acquired the 5168G and decided to sell the watch because it wore too large on my 7 inch wrist.

Availability for all Aquanauts is difficult in the U.K. right now from an AD.

Ehen I got my 5167 was quoted 3-5 years, if I wanted it on a bracelet it would be about a year and a half. Ended up with a 5167 within a year and it was on a rubber strap. I am very tempted to put my name down for a 5164 but I really don't like the way the date is displayed. I'd much rather have a date wheel at 3 O'Clock!

They have a 5167 in Boodles Liverpool, which they will release if you buy a calatrava.
