IMO...fake. Cornet is wrong, the thickness of the lume surrounds is too thick, the gold is discoloring (unless that is just the photo) and I dont believe that they came with champagne dials.

I am no expert but the dial font, hands and hour markers all look off.

minute hand is too small for a maxi dial reference.
+1 on Allan. I don't think it was available with the champagne dial

If you can remove the band and take pictures between the lugs, that would also help.

Can you provide us with more information on how you acquired it?
Can you give us pictures of the back, bracelet, endpieces, etc? Thanks! |

acquired through an estate. gentleman passed and he was a collector of sorts. i have yet to find any paper work for it. but i found numerous seiko watches all valued at 800-1000 with paper work and receipts. |

See here for example: http://www.qualitytyme.net/pages/rolex_or_replica.html YACHT-MASTER "MINUTE" HAND... Genuine Rolex Yacht-Master models feature a "minute" hand which is considerably thicker than those on other Rolex sports models. However, to save money, counterfeiters will often use the same hands found on the Submariner

Minute markers are to long,Minute hand is to thin,Date should be larger and coronet looks off on the dial.....
Would like to see more pics of the back though and a little info on where and how aquired...If it was a cheap buy, then to good to be true usually is.!

The pins compress like the rod in a toilet tissue holder. You need a thin, sturdy blade to do it (they also have special tools for that).
If you are unsure, I'd say let the AD do it for you.

The gold looks tarnished or rubbed off in the pics. Is it that way in person?

The markers and numbers are to thick(raised) on the bezel and that coronet on the clasp blades and winding crown are all wrong.....I'm no expert but many things don't look right!
