RARE Mens SS Rolex Red Submariner 1680

http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Mens-SS-Rol...item5d27c8e62b

Quote 1 "-100% Authentic RARE Mens Stainless Steel Rolex Red Submariner"
Quote 2 "-All Original"

Last Time I checked "All original" does not include fake bracletes.

I called the Store and they said they have been in business for over 25 years and they sell Rolex all the time.

The bracelet is NOT fake, they insist!

There is huge thumb recess crater on it.

* Thumbnail recess is off.
* Coronet on the clasp is off (looks like it was welded/brazed on, not stamped, and placement is off).
* Doesn't appear to have the Rolex stampings on the inner clasp blades either.
* Bezel & insert look off to me as well (for a 1680).

Thanks for the information. I am learning, slowly but surely. I only wish I had found this site years ago. I found TRF via Jake's Rolex Blog.

Good find. The complete band is counterfeit, not just the clasp. Notice that all the links are the same size - unlike the descending thickness on genuine band links. This appears to be an older counterfeit band, the newer fakes are somewhat "more refined."

How about the endpieces? Agree everything else on the band looks fake.

Based on the photos, I'm not making a call on the end pieces. But the apple usually doesn't fall far from the tree.
