Roger Moore has died

Former James Bond star Sir Roger Moore has died in Switzerland at the age of 89 after a short battle with cancer, his family has announced.

A message shared on the actor's official Twitter account read: "With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated."

RIP

Didn't see many and I only vaguely remember the series but somehow I always thought his best work was in The Saint for some reason.

I remember growing up to watching both Sean Connery and Roger Moore as Bond.

While he played the secret agent during what many Bond fans consider their "satirical" phase, he did it well, and with panache.

RIP

Full life, iconic style, and was very good at what he did, RIP Roger Moore. Imagine if he didn't have to play Bond after the writing went to crap and if he didn't have to follow Sean Connery... who's telling how big he could have been.

Sad day, I really grew up with Roger Moore as 007, as the 70's and 80's were when I was growing up. Full life and a charming gentleman. RIP.
