Most of the time I wear an old 1675... or the Daydate when the time is right.. Other times it is just black subs and every now and then an Explorer or an Old Daytona.

Ditto.

Then after being a door kicker I went to culinary school, two actually, and now teach at one in an adjunct capacity while I am Chef at a major hotel.

I have a number of watches, most of which are Rolex and Seiko.

Indeed. In fact, I went to a liberal arts school where you had at least one major, possibly another and/or a minor, and about 20 base classes that everyone who graduated had to take from a list that ranged through humanities, social sciences, and hard sciences. I've taken classes, worked, and lived in dorms in London. There is no doubt about it, the education here is broader and on the other side of the pond it's more specialized.

BA English, Juris Doctor, Masters in Environmental Law. My watches are listed under my avatar pic, but if I had to claim one that was my main I'd say the IIc.

You're going to have to help someone out who's from over the pond. I'm guessing that's not a real university ? I'm guessing it means you didn't go to college ?

Personally I'm considering dropping out myself atm. Seems like a waste of time.

BA, Sociology: University of New Orleans, 1988. Minor: Psychology.

Master of Social Work (MSW): Tulane University, 1995.

And yes, I attended the School of Hard Knocks, too, as well as having served four years in the US Marine Corps (0811), '67-'71, including an abbreviated tour of duty in Vietnam, '68-'69, where I was wounded in action.

I did not get my first Rolex, 114270, until I was 59, the year I retired. I now also have a DateJust, 116200-63600, and a Submariner, 14060M.

I am not wealthy and I do not consider my Rolex watches to be status symbols, but I do consider them to be symbols of achievement, the most important one being that I have survived long enough to enjoy retirement.

I didn't go to college or university. At that stage in my life I wanted no more sitting at a desk and just wanted to get out there.

I'm now the sales manager for a well-known media brand here in the UK. Ironically I sit at a desk every day.

I own a few watches.
