15202 vs 15300

Let see those 15202 and 15300's!

Curious how the 8.10mm thickness vs 9.40 thickness compares. Also any comments on comfort?

Excruciatingly... Gorgeous and comfortable.

Own...

Want...

The 15300 is chunkier and feels substantial whereas the 15202 feels like the PP 5711/1A.

So you want a 15202 because it's smaller or more comfortable?

Mike how does the 39mm look? Does it look as small as a PP Naut? I like a little more presence.

But crazy premium on a 15202 vs a 15300 is something to consider as well...

The 15202 can be tough to source as well

Sure, the 15202 has all the hype and cult following, but the 15300 is a beautiful update with a modern and completely in-house Cal 3120 movement which affords the reference both date and second hand.

Correct, this particular re-release of the 15202 only comes with that classic blue/greyish dial. But you can bet that AP will release other dial colors as some point.

Extremely comfortable. The thickness between the two is really visible.

was told $22,500 on SS on TZ... $300 buckeroos less than my ROC... and probably will be more costly after discount than the ROC despite the MSRP differences

The more I look at that new 15202--it's really stunning. The blue on steel is eye popping.

Mike let us know what HK contact says on ETA

I think the 40th anniversary 15202 is the best looking watch to come from
AP. A grail for sure. Imagine if the Rolex sub was conserved in a similar fashion. The AP15300 is great as well.

I'd say you are in luck, I have to wait another 4months until it reaches the north.

I actually prefer the 15300 if buying it as a daily driver, Sturdier bracelet and the screwed in crown.
But in a bigger collection the 15202 would be a fantastic addition.
Also love the new updated dial bringing it closer to the original 1972 model
