A question about the meaning of some Rolex terms
Hello, my name's Priesty. I'm from the UK and this is my first posting. I have only recently discovered this forum - I used to frequent another Rolex forum (Rolex World Forum?) that seems to have closed recently.
I'm fairly new to Rolex; I've had a beautiful 16613 Submariner for a year now. I went in to the dealer to buy the standard model with the black face but fell for the 16613's blue face as soon as the crafty saleswoman placed it on my wrist - the only trouble is I'm still paying for it ! It's been my life's ambition to own a Rolex, and the Sub in particular. I can honestly say that it's one of the few things I've coveted that has not been even slightly disappointing once owned Forgive my ignorance but can someone please tell me what the letters SS and TT stand for, when related to a Rolex ? I think it may be something to do with the band, i.e. whether it's stainless steel or other - am I right ? |
