216570 Polar-Quick 1 week review

Managed to snag this piece from an AD last Saturday.
DBFDB81F-5868-4BF0-8E6D-9C6D017BE289.jpeg

First impressions:
-the White dial is very dynamic with the black markers/hands. Really pops.
-wears larger than expected. I have a 7.25” wrist and feel it swims while on.
-might be because it is new but feel myself really looking at the dial when it catches my eye. Has a wow factor.

I think I should be able to adjust to the size. Having worn 45.5 planet oceans for years, I guess I was a little surprised how much more I felt the size difference between the green sub I also wear.

If you are interested in this watch, I would definitely suggest trying on first.

Final thought...I will definitely enjoy the look and hang onto this one!

Congratulations, wear it in good health.

As far as size, it looks perfectly fine. Might be because it's new to you that some period of adjustment is necessary, but no way that it's too large for your wrist size. Those PO's are larger so it's surprising you're a little concerned but you just need to spend some time wearing it and it'll feel like an old friend in no time.

All the best,
Mark

Nice review, just bought one 2 weeks ago and really like this watch a lot. Probably my favorite and I have owned most of them. By far the most readable, true GMT function. More lume than most Rolex, easy link. 42MM. Not sure why it hasn't been more popular. Although now they are becoming harder to find.

A white dial pops more therefore it makes the watch look larger.

Congratulations. A great watch and one of my favorites. The Polar Explorer II photographs well also.

Congrats! I would disagree and say it fits just fine on your wrist..
I’ve owned mine for 2 months now, and that “wow” factor is still there every time I look down at it!

I don't have a gmt piece in my collection, and I'm torn between the polar explorer and saving some more for a 16753 root beer.
The blue lume on the polar looks amazing. congrats!
