My vote will be for 116710LN. Not because I own one... I feel this watch goes with anything and anywhere. It has the classic Rolex vibe to it and it is even less conspicuous if you replace the PCL bracelet with something like a RubberB.

The stainless steel Sub. No bells , whistles or bling needed.
I currently own the TT Blue........but the stainless steel sub is my 10-15 year "one & only".

Among those three, I would choose the BLNR without question. If I could only own one Rolex, however, I would go with a Submariner.

Personally a sub for me.
Out of your choices, Sky D or BLNR.

Good luck with decision when it comes. I was (am) in similar boat. I’d like to see you stick to just the one over that period ;.). I started funds / ebay’d like mad/ did OT/ rook in sandwiches to work, etc to make purchases over the years |

Hi Trane,
Since you mentioned being open to other suggestions, here is mine. I've owned all sport models and, if you're looking for versatility, imo, go with a SD4k. Although there is a premium, they can still be found bnib, and let me tell you, what a watch. Compact, robust, discreet. Pire classic rolex. Of the ones you mentioned, I'd go with a black gmt (116710ln). It's not my favorite gmt, but the most versatile and certainly an all rounder. A black sub date would also do the trick. Good luck, my friend. |

What functions do you think you need? That will help you narrow it down.

Echoing others sentiments, the BLNR is a stunner and makes me smile everytime I wear it.

BLNR for sure. It has occupied most of my wrist time since June 2014.

None of the ones in the OP's list. I'd continue to wear my 16710.

LN. With that timeline the BLNR is a big commitment for a coloured bezel watch. LN is classic today and will continue to be so

Bone and speedy combo works very well. That would be my vote.

Option 2 or 1 from your list. Other suggestions: Sub/Sub Date and DJ 36.

I don't have one, but the 116710LN would tick all the boxes and serve well. Really, you can't make a bad choice. It's all in how YOU wear it.

Try a new 216570 Explorer II Polar. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. A great long term watch, +/-2 seconds daily, 5 year warranty, service every 10 years.

+1. This is good advice given the lengthy timeline under consideration. Simple but not boring is the name of the game.
