Chnr vs blnr?
Hello everyone ,
I just got the call for the 2018 Roor beer two tone chnr. If I buy this I will have to sell my Batman blnr. I tried the root beer on and it is great. I just didn’t know if it was great enough. I really liked the Pepsi jubilee in pictures. I am high on my AD list for the blro and I have ruled out the Daytona because I really like having the date. If you were me, would you buy the two tone root beer now and sell the Batman or wait for the call on the Pepsi blro? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Happy Friday |

I don't like the CHNR TT at all so it's a no for me.
"I just didn't know if it was great enough" makes me think you're second guessing it. If it were me I would pass if it didn't sing to me 100%. I would wait for the BLRO and see if it sings to you more. There will always be an opportunity to get the CHNR later on.

Why pay more for the CHNR when you can enjoy your BLNR while patiently waiting for the, less expensive, equally if not more fabulous new SS BLRO?
If it doesn’t make you run to the AD the minute it’s here then it probably isn’t the watch for you. |

I really like the new CHNR TT, actually, it's the only TT that I would venture to buy and wear !
However, I wouldn't sell a BLNR for it... I would try to get the CHNR or BLRO without selling any other Rolex that I own. I, for example, own a BLNR, LVc and just bought a SS BLRO (To be delivered next week) and if you think about it, they are all VERY similar watches and I NEVER considered selling any of them ! Well... This is me LoL ... Whatever is your decision, as long as you are happy with it, you are good to go !

Chnr vs blnr?
Decide which one you would pick today if you had the choice between all three and that is your answer. Don’t buy something you don’t expect to own for awhile. I chose CHNR over BLNR based solely on personal preference. I may add BLRO later but the CHNR has become my daily wearer and I don’t expect that to change.

I personally wouldn't. But this is purely personal preference. My only real advice is to try to distinguish between liking something better and just wanting something new.
(It makes me so sad that we didn't get a ceramic root beer in original root beer colours. I'd have sold every watch I own and my kidney for one of those.) |

I like the CHNR a lot but TT is less practical for me than SS

If the CHNR is not great enough you should pass. Personally I'm not a TT fan even though it is a very nice piece and the colors are nice as well. I'd much prefer keeping the BLNR.

One of my AD’s had a CHNR in their showcase when I was there this past Wednesday. I looked at it, but declined as two tone is just not for me. I’ll wait (patiently) for the Pepsi.

TT is not for everyone. I have a GMT and like TT. If I were you, I’d probably wait for the BLRO and keep your BLNR. I imagine if you change your mind, the TT CHNR won’t be hard to find.

Two great watches that you really can’t go wrong with either. Go back to your AD and try the CHNR next to your BLNR and stick with what speaks to you more
Best of luck

Keep the BLNR and wait for SS BLRO. My preference: BLNR > SS BLRO > TT CHNR > Daytona.

Try on the CHNR and if you reaally like it 100%, then go for it otherwise wait for the SS.

It sounds like you aren't in love with the CHNR so I'd keep your BLNR and wait until the BLRO comes in. Then you can see if you like it better than your BLNR and go from there. I'm generally not a two-tone fan, but the CHNR is the one two-tone I'd actually consider. For me, Daytona C > BLRO > BLNR > CHNR but I like them all.

Keep BLNR. The most handsome bezel colors in all gmts.

I’d wait for the BLRO and keep the BLNR. I will say this though after owning my BLRO for a month I can’t see my BLNR getting much wrist time any longer. The BLRO is by far the best new Rolex in years IMHO!

I don't really like the BLNR and really like the CHNR so the choice is simple for me.

I'd stay put with the BLNR. I think the CHNR is great but it doesn't top the BLNR.

i would not sell my BLNR for the bi-tone and neither for the BLRO. the color combo of the bezel of the bi-tone looks rather contrived to me and i do not like the washed out bezel colors off the BLRO (that is why i did not buy the WG BLRO). i could get friendly with the new bracelet on the BLRO though.
