Started listening to this while working out too… I typically listen to books as well.
This one is particularly interesting. Gets you to think about your money decisions. Including your watch spending. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Man love that Ranger!!!! Arguably the Explorer was the Bond watch as that was the watch Fleming was wearing when he wrote it and was the inspiration for bond watch. The ranger is Uber cool and will become a huge collectible I think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks all! The Bond series is definitely fun and entertaining. One more pic from me for the day… same book, different watch.

Bought the book the day it came out. I am a huge fan of Matt's writing. Made a bunch of Negroni's while at the beach with family last week.

Another vote for Depth Charge! It was definitely entertaining with tons of gear and watches mentioned throughout.

Awesome idea for a thread!
I'm reading White-Jacket by Melville, on the kindle, so no picture. It's more or less the precursor to Moby Dick. Melville actually served on the USS United States for a year as a young man, and White-Jacket is based on his experiences. It's beautifully written (like Moby Dick, somewhat rambling and erratic, but still entertaining), and actually led to some reforms in the US Navy. Oh, and I'm wearing my DJ41. No watch with a nautical theme, sadly. |

Finished Melville‘s book and can heartily recommend it. Now off to re-read one of the more interesting books I read in the last years. Last time, I essentially skimmed it, but now, it’s pencil, post-its and excerpts :-)
Anyone interested in a chapter-by-chapter summary and some quotes btw? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Today’s Watch and Book (a picture thread)

Yes! That seems like an excellent and interesting book. By chance - do they talk about the history of St Moritz and the Kulm Hotel? Edit: No chance they mention it, I just noticed this was written in 1899!! Edit 2: Peaked my interest, bought it for my August reads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

This is the best book I’ve read on investing (aside of the original foundational ones, like Security Analysis and The Intelligent Investor).
None of it is original, but it’s the best interpretation and simplification of the more complex foundation books. It’s hard to find now, but you can find a free copy online (freely shared by author on his website chapter by chapter). Of course wearing the boss GMT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I have been lurking on here for a while, but have yet to chime in anywhere. I sat down with a fresh copy of Ian Fleming's Casino Royale and my OHMSS Seamaster 300m this morning though and couldn't help but snap a picture. Seeing this post now, it felt appropriate to finally break the silence (even if it isn't a Rolex).
