help on 1675 from 1967

Hi,
I bought this 1,68 mil 1675. All my friends have an opinion for dial, bracelet etc. As I'm not an expert, can you help me suggesting if all is correct or if not what's wrong? Many thanks,
G.

Dial is MK V and is too late.

Your watch should have a MK I dial (long E)

Insert is also a later one.

I believe the larger GMT arrowhead started in 1968 (I've got a '68 1675). What makes you think yours is 1967? Documents?

Of so that might be a replacement GMT hand.

I would imagine that the dial and hands were replaced at service along with the insert.

Just the serial number 1,68 mil thought was 67. Many thanks, G.

As already mentioned it should have a long E dial in it.

There is no exact date to know when the small 24-hour hand carried over on some of the GMT 1675 white-lettered dials from the gilt dials. It is generally accepted that some of the early white-lettered dials could be found with the smaller hand. The "arrowheads" were around long before 1968 - by 1968 I would expect that all GMTs should have the larger hand. (Arrowhead...I kind of like that - never heard that term before to identify the 24-hour hand.)

By the way, besides the dial being incorrect for the serial number on this watch, the hands are relumed.

You are correct. 1.68 million should have a 1967 case back, probably 2nd quarter of '68 with a Mark I dial.

Interesting. Thanks for the clarification. My watchmaker said there's a 1967 date of manufacture on the inside of my caseback. But I think it's a 1968 model release based on serial etc.

Would that make sense?

And yes, mine seems relumed too. Kinda messy?
