Question about model #

This forum is great! Love seeing all the pictures and following the different threads.

I recently bought a new Datejust in Switzerland. It is a two tone DJ with the stick dial, fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet. I have seen a lot of talk on here about the 116233, but mine is a 116223. Can someone tell me what the difference in the next to last digit means?

TIA,

Jeff

Thank you! I thought fluted and engine turned were the same thing, but I guess not.

Wow, really? Maybe I just transposed the numbers when I took it off the ownership card. The watch was bought new at Bucherer in Zermatt, so I know there isn't anything strange going on. I will get a picture taken this weekend and figure out how to post it on Monday.

Thanks!

I went back and searched the forum for the difference between engine turned and fluted bezels and it turned up some very good pictures. No question mine is the fluted bezel. I will try to post a picture Monday, but have to think that I just wrote the number down wrong when I looked at it.

Here is a picture. So, I assume this is indeed at 116233?

Look closely at that card because 116223 is a commonly used "mis-reference" number by replica makers to describe fluted bezeled DJs.

Hopefully just a transposed number...

Whew,

You had me scared there for a minute! I did buy it new from Bucherer, so I am confident it is not a fake or anything.

I LOVE the watch!

Thanks!
