Navitimer 43mm too big on my wrist?

Before pulling trigger on my first real watch, just want to get some opinion on how this 43mm Navitimer fits on my 6 inch wrist.
Any input is appreciated.

Must be an optical illusion but it doesn't look as big in the second pic as it does in the first.

I don't normally mind big watches (try a 47mm Panerai if you really want big) but must admit in the first pic it does look a little over powering on your slimmer wrist.

As above, in the second pic you just about get away with it.

At the end of the day it's ultimately your choice - your the one that has to feel comfortable with it.

Dial “face on” shots always look too large, in my opinion. The second picture looks fine. Due to the pronounced lugs on this reference, it will wear bigger lug to lug than some other watches in the 43mm range.

I agree with Max, wear what you want and if you love it, then go for it.

Looks fine to me, but I have no problem with large-looking watches.

Now those HUGE watches out there I do have a problem with!

Navitimer 43mm too big on my wrist?

I think it’s too big...

In the first picture the lugs seem to go beyond the wrist and the second picture shows the strap to be too big.

Maybe look at the 38 or 41mm models?

Unless you like the style of an oversized watch (for you), in which case it’s a beautiful watch!

Definitely right on the edge of too big, it should fit the wrist lug to lug or smaller if desired.

43mm isn't huge or oversized by any means, regardless of your size. Even dainty girls could pull it off.

I actually just bought a 46mm Navitimer 01 today. I have 7 inch wrists.

I also have a 48/49mm Bentley 6.75 and the larger brother to the 46mm 01 Navitimer, the 48mm Navitimer GMT. I am selling both of these because they are too big although I have flat wrists and can pull both off. I think it's an illusion due to my Rolex GMT's being "small" to me.

In any event, the Navitimer 01 comes in the 43mm, the 46mm, and then the 48mm GMT.

I remember trying a 43mm on at the store and just thought it was too small right away....especially for a chronograph. These wear smaller than you think because it's all dial, the lugs are not big, and they curve downwards on the Navitimers.

Just for kicks, I compared my 48mm Navi with my 46mm and my Rolex GMT's today (which is 40mm). I don't have calipers....but the difference between the 46mm to the 48mm from lug to lug was the same distance as the difference lug to lug from the 40mm GMT to the 46mm Navi.

Thus, the Navis wear much smaller. I would bet the 43mm Navi lug to lug is, at most, the same as the Rolex GMT or probably smaller. Your issue is you have tiny wrists...6 inches is really really small.

You wear your shoes 2 sizes bigger as well? Looks like a dinner plate on you, way to big. Get a 40mm montbrillant limited if you want b01, something vintage or wait for the new re-issue.

I think you can probably pull it off, but it does look a little bigger than it should be for your wrist.

On the first picture it looks way too big , but not so bad on the second . But rule of thumb for me on watch size is , does it feel right on the wrist to you & if it does who else really cares .

The first picture actually makes it seem like it is bigger but the second makes it very good on you. Good luck!

Yes. A little big, but you can pull it off.

Congrats but I believe it is too big and will not be a comfortable wear in the long run

Congratulations. It's definitely on the large side but if you like it, enjoy.

Yes, you might try the Breguet type XX or the Tag Heuer Carrera 1964 re-edition.
