This, if you remember to do it, may save you enough money and practically pay for your cell phone bill for that month, or pay for the Amazon prime membership:

Compare the item cost at the store and use Amazon app to check the price on Amazon. Many stores will do a price match with Amazon. I have saved 'bigly' on more than a few occasions while shopping locally from Target, luggage store, etc.

I asked my wife last night if she thought that it was weird that we did that, and she rolled her eyes and said YES. Oops, haha...
I thought the guys were talking more about bottled water. I can't bring myself to order tap water, unless in a fast food place. But then bottled water is bloody expensive too, but that's what I order in fancy restaurants now, I never order nice wine there any more, the mark up ie opening fee is just ridiculous, worse than any D500 . I order cocktails instead, still very pricey but at least some skill and thought has gone into it.

The ketchup made me laugh until I realized that I do it too with the little packets of dried pepper flakes from Round Table!

Anyone else ever cut the mold off the cheese block because the “inside is still good”? I’ve since given that one up, but may have been my worst cheapskate move back when times were tough.

I would rather like to have a Rolex than own a high end car
Skoda Kodiaq with Rolex is better than Range Rover with Patek Philippe

my dad worked for the utility when i was a kid. even though he got an employee discount on the bill he still screamed about turning off lights. and even in his 70s now he won't turn the heat on until dec 1 and thats only if its cold ( in his opinion) my mom turned it on a few times when they have hosted thanksgiving or xmas dinner. I'm neurotic about it now even turning off lights in conference rooms at work. quit drinking soda 1+ year ago on Dr. orders. saved 20-30$ a week and lost 20 pounds and my blood sugar level normalized, havent had a sugary drink since. only water, tea or coffee since. and i try to drink the free coffee at work.

Work has a cafe with a company subsidized hot special every day for 4$ or a deli sandwich for $3. so i don't spend more than 20$ a week for lunch. i can't buy the fixings make a lunch meat sandwich that cheap and take it daily so i don't try.

wife will ridicule me about how cheap i am but yet have 2 rolexes and mix in G-shocks and seikos. i did last year buy my first brand new car that i ever bought for myself at age 42. but it was only because i had to special order it with the options and manual trans and colori wanted and got tired of looking at used lots for the unicorn. its a toyota so i imagine it will last 10-20 years barring a wreck.

1. I use a safety razor that use the old school double edge razor blades. The blades are pennies each bought in bulk. Superior shave too.

2. I make 99% of my tea and coffee myself for pennies using loose leave tea/strainer and whole coffee beans I grind/French press. Most people pay $100/month at Starbucks and it’s not even near as fresh or good.

I make my Rolexes last 30 years or more.

I tend to buy cars slightly used (3,000 miles, 6,000 miles) rather than brand new when it pays. I also compress the yard waste bags and pack more in rather than sticking to my wife's rule of thumb (one leaf per bag).

...just spent $100 on a Timex. I’ve been looking for a beater for awhile now and this one fit the bill.

I do cause there’s nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you go little deeper than the visible mold. Store in wax paper to prevent mold.
