I had the stick dial and the blue can be amazing. It needs the right lighting to pop. Other times it just looked way too dark for my liking. I'm considering the blue roman dial for my next acquisition since it's a lighter blue.

Romans gets my vote.

The roman dial pairs better with the fluted bezel. If you were to choose the stick dial, then go with the smooth dial.

I personally have the smooth bezel romans and I get compliments often from non WIS people. I think the romans add a nice elegant touch to the watch however it is my only and everyday watch so it's versatile enough to withstand anything.

The fluted bezel is beautiful and to me it screams Rolex. It sparkles in all different lighting conditions and it'll help to hide scratches which are significantly more visible on the smooth bezel. The fluted bezel is white gold so it will add some weight to it.

I love the romans but I have to admit that I'm a little annoyed not having lume but it suppose its a give and take. Here are some pics of my watch:
I agree and would like to add that the Sticks can handle the flutes better than the Roman. I think the Roman, since it is busier, needs the smooth bezel to offset the busy dial. But with the cleaner look of the sticks, the busier bezel works.
