Let the enabling begin

If you had the choice of adding two or three full gold pieces to your collection (let's say 116618LB and the smurf), would you do that or add one real BADA$$ watch like the platona? Let's say your collection already has a Subc TT blue, Subc, Kermit, Hulk, white face ss Daytona, and ss Yachtmaster. Do you add more watches so each will see less wrist time or go for the Holiest of Holy Grails? Someone here has me leaning very strongly in a certain direction. I'm sure he will soon post a pic at a race track driving a Porsche. I just want to see what others here would do.

When it comes to PM you should really get the watch you love the most.

I prefer gold so I would personally not go down the Platinum route, sounds like price is a factor for you.

This. If you're going this route, there should be no settling.

Let me beat Tom to the punch... Platona. And roll three of those SS or TT Subs up towards a WG one...

I am evolving into less pieces. So I would say the Platona!

I'd get the one you want. If you settle, you'll always want the one you didn't, and should've bought.

I have no interest or intention of selling. I absolutely love every single Rolex in my collection and wear them frequently. Funds are an issue because I also love cycling vacations in Europe. It's a balance. The One that sings and steals my heart is the one that will end up on my wrist. Just not 100% sure yet. Need to visit my AD. I was really curious to see what others would do.

I'd go for the one that you love over 2-3 watches that you like.

You only have one wrist.

If you loved all 3 equally, which I doubt will happen when you try them on, go for the platona!

Time to do some flipping and go for a Patek! You only have one wrist after all. I've been pairing down my collection over the last year and am about to do another 2 for 1 flip.

i'd do a platona only BC i'm not into YG.

however, in that snack bracket, there's a lot to choose from.

These are the factors I would compare

Which dial options in the different precious metals do you like best

Do you prefer the color of gold or platinum

Do you like the weight of gold or platinum more

Do you value more variety or one piece.

Love the hypothetical question!!

I am currently one that has many pieces in my collection and contemplating changing it up and going with a couple bad a** pieces. As much as I love getting a couple gold pieces, I would go with the Platona!!

Good luck and looking forward to an incoming....or two!!
