Color change in 16710 bezel insert

I have seen the red/blue color change at different locations on the 16710 bezel insert. On some inserts the color changes between the 1 and 8 of 18 while on others the color changes within the 8.

I have read through many threads that talk about the hook of the 2, thickness of the font, color of the backside of the insert, .... but I didn't see anything about this variation in where the color change occurs.

Does this indicate an unofficial insert or did this change happen at some date so I can check if a watch has the original insert?

Thanks,
- Mike

There is a variation on where the break occurs.
