1655 dial help: humidity on plots
Dear friends,
hope someone can help me with this dial. As you can see the plots became little black in some parts due to humidity. A vintage watchmaket told me he can try to remove it scratching really soft on them. do you have any alternative idea about what to do in order to remove the black stuff on the plots? |

Leave them alone or you will ruin the original tritium coating with your watchmaker's suggestion.

yes the watchmakers can remove some black spots, to some extent...but i wouldnt let them. the black dots are the aged tritum. they've gone dark because of huminity. once the lume has been worked on. i think the strucutre of the orignal lume is compromised. god know how long they will stay on the dial.
