I don't disagree with you, I know many people buy watches and jewelry on vacation, in the Caribbean and other parts of the world.

It's just that I am not that impulsive, it takes me a long time to consider the watch before I pull the trigger. I need a very high degree of certainty and confidence in the seller.

Fortunately I live in an area where there is relatively plentiful choice of vendors, as does the OP, and I have an AD with whom I've done all my business.

Maybe not the Rolex SS sport models since they are scarce now. But, people like to buy luxury items in Europe to save some money. My brother did a lot of research, went to Paris for vacation and bought a Hublot Big Bang. He saved about 20% with the VAT, the exchange rate.
