Okay, call me crazy...

..but I can't make myself love a Daytona or MOTM because of the chrono hand/second center-stop hand that splits the brand logo, somewhat "hiding" it. I want to pull the trigger on both, but cannot seem to get past it, and I can't in good conscience pick either up knowing full well that would drive me nuts.

This will undoubtedly rub the purists the wrong way, but that is not my intent. I know the easy part is to say "well then don't buy them", but they are such classics that I am having a hard time looking past this detail.

Simply my thoughts on paper... and curious if anyone else has this thinking or how they handled it, by buying one anyway or moving on to something else.

I just don't get the hype on any Daytona. Probably just me.

I will NEVER be a contrarian to a Daytona, especially to you my man!

I just wish that the hand was either not there, or was designed to move all the time. A white faced stainless and Platona... nothing sweeter!

You think that's something, try telling a hysterical woman to "calm down". It seems like a helpful suggestion...

Back on topic, I never bought in to the Daytona hype. The OP's logo issue doesn't bother me, but the Star Wars text at the top of the dial I can do without.

If I could only get past that one issue then I'd agree it's an excellent chronograph that I'd be proud to own.
