To many watches,

I recently arrived at the stage in life where I have too many watches. So recently I started selling off several. I had already decided which would go/stay. My reason(s) for reducing my collection is that I simply don't have the time, nor inclination to be bothered changing watches every so often. I wear three of my favorites. Those I enjoy, the others, not at all. If I don't enjoy them, why keep them?

I recently hit a similar point.

I was fast approaching a place where, in my mind, more than I need. I'm, for now, implementing a no more than 4 rule.

Enjoy the cleanse. I’ve done it before and always end up back at having too many.

I am consistently in the state of over-bought, over-sold, and anything in between :)

good luck

I'm down to one and am very happy with it. When you get older material things can weigh you down. But everyone makes their own journey.

I traded 3 Jaegers for a Patek Calatrava. Moving up the ladder, consolidating the collection. Still have too many watches.

Two of mine are family heirlooms I could never part with. I do like having a g shock beater for some situations. Then I need my daily wear. So four would be my ideal number. I am sitting at five watches right now and I'm giving myself a year before I make any changes.

ive never really let my collection get to the point of excessive (to me anyway). I never want more watches than i can realistically wear. Im pretty much one in and one out now. Anything more than 6 or 7 for me is too much.

I’m in the same boat and have been deliberating over which watches to part with. There’s just too much redundancy in my collection, so several watches barely see the light of day. I think three or four might be the magic number.

I have been at that point for many years.

I need to sell even more or give them away.

I had over a dozen at one point, got down to four but now up to five and think I am more likely to go to 6 than 4 again, just need to have diversity to keep things fresh.

I appreciate the comments and thoughts. I have it in my mind that three will be the magic number.

i have 5 watches which is more than I really need but I also have 16 guitars which is way way more then needed. The ailment is known as GAS - Guitar Acquisition Syndrome.
