I agree with this..

The Zenith probably isn't the watch to trade into a Rolex...especially at Retail

You trading a watch that has abysmal to one @ full Retail.

Trading weakness against strength is a terrible position to be in.

I would try to sell the Zenith yourself and hope for the best.

Then get the MG pre-owned. You MAY break even...if you are lucky..

BUT...if that isn't worth your time, spend the $2k and be done with it.

I would never trade the Striking Tenth for the GV. I love everything about that Zenith.

Noooooo. Never, never, never !

The Zenith Striking Tenth is not just a watch. It is a supreme achievement in watchmaking history. At the moment the brand is still terribly undervalued in the market, but give LVMH some time to restore their image and you will see how the Striking Tenth becomes an icon for an audience greater than, as currently happens, the few aficionado WISes who know the insides.
It is the greatest achievement by one of the greatest manufactures since 1969. Full stop.
Watch your red hand sweep in 100 hundred mini jumps in 10s around he dial and smile thinking that very few people on earth have your privilege. Don't let it go.
Just think for a while. No other chrono on earth can achieve what the ST does, and only 1969 pieces exist with the iconic tricolor dial. Even if cal. 5042 is subsequently used in other models, the original limited edition ST will forever remain the absolute first. Forever.
The Milgauss is a very nice watch, but if you can't buy one now, save and buy it later. There will always be plenty.
