$100,000.00 Rolex

I saw this watch in a Beverly Hills jewelry story yesterday.

I am actually surprised that anybody can try these watches...
I know that I certainly would not buy a watch that would have been "fondled" by lots of people before me... Let alone if it would cost 100k!

That was the owner of the store. He just got it in. I am sure he just wanted to see it on one time.

Wow, that is a lot of bling. A little too much for my taste, but I'm sure some will fall in love with it. The Platona just beat out the Smurf as my grail watch. I thank Tom for that, but my bank account does NOT!!!!

There are some heavily-iced factory Rolexes that don't look so hideous in that price range.

I like diamonds, but that's a bit too rapper for me. Doesn't look like quality placement, more like a local jeweller just fabricated the bezel and threw diamonds in there.

I do like how Rolex does diamonds on GMT2 bezels, those are real lookers for sure.

Not my thing. I'm just not big on precious stones on a watch, but to each his own. Just don't understand burying that beautiful metal.

Date magnification looks awful. They probably pressed the crystal in too deep or ended up using an aftermarket crystal with wrong magnification.

I read that wrong at first.

Re-read as an attempt to get American slang correct, your comment gets a definite thumbs up!
