Welcome to trf.
yes sir you are correct. That is connery in the beginning scenes of Goldfinger with the CLASSIC Rolex 6538 "Big Crown".
I am a huge Bond fan and try to live that lifestyle as much as I can.
Some of my other forum friends refer to me as Mr. Bond ;) haha

Since I can't afford a 6538, I would enjoy owning a Tudor Black Bay on Connery Strap. Would look cool!

Sean Connery as Bond with that Sub was my introduction to Rolex and why I finally got my first Sub three + years ago. 14060M. Close as I could afford to the old ones . Plus I was too nervous to go vintage at the time due to lack of knowledge about Rolex. [I've been reading and learning ever since joining this forum]. At the time I wanted to play it safe and get one with a full set and recent RSC service card.
It's on leather in my avatar pic. Got the "Bond correct" Nato eventually.
Good fun!

Love your DJ.
I know three guys who have your model of Seamaster too as Pierce Brosnan made them famous decades after Dr No and Goldfinger. Love the blue dial Seamasters. The bracelet on those is a real beauty too.

I would have to agree!
I would love to own a submariner as well.
My dad has a ceramic sub and an aluminum sub, he lets me wear his ceramic every now and again... you guys may see me taking wrist shots with it on and posting it here. Or I could just post old ones I have taken lol
The Connery "strap" is very unique. I always thought he wore it on a literal "nato" but found out later from a watch/bond/rolex blog that his had a real buckle on it and was not actually natio style with the extra metal rings.
BUT anyway.
I love the seamaster and am thinking of selling it.
I know I will regret it if I do but I could use the extra cash in my savings account as I hate to have that account low.

Other than that I had apple watch, seiko, pulsar, and a few "homage" knock off chinese peices that looked like submariners, planet oceans, yachtmasters, etc.
Always had the good taste, just didn't have the money until recently.
I actually custom built/modded my own homage of a Omega SMP 300 out of a Seiko SKX007 last summer. Lot of fun and good learning experience for working on watches :D

Wow, your definitely a WIS or WIS in training... Congrat's!

Now, you have to think about what will be your next ROLEX.

The hint is in the colors...

Congratulations!!! I'm really fond of the tapestry dials. Gorgeous and definitely stands out from the crowd of plain dials. You will definitely enjoy it.

Yes you need to!
I love the tapestry dial.
I have found it has a sunburst effect slightly even without the smooth texture.
