What Watch Brands Have You Gone Through?

I stole this thread from another member (and I'm sure there have been other threads like this) who mentioned what watch brands he moved through.

arinsd wrote:

"This thread got me thinking of how we progress through brands. Swatch, Casio, Fossil, Diesel, Bulova, Tag, Rolex for me."

I went:
Timex, Casio, Swatch, fake Rolex, two Seikos, Casio again, Rolex

What watch brands have you gone through, from earliest to most recent.

Omega, Rolex, Sinn, Maratac, Seiko, Damasko, IWC, Sinn, Omega, Rolex, Panerai, Tudor, Audemars Piguet, Panerai, Rolex, Rolex, Audemars Piguet

I might have missed a brand, and I'm definitely missing watches chronologically. As you can see I go back to watch brands all the time.

Earliest? Timex indigo for me I guess. Child me went crazy for indiglo.

I don't really "move through" brands.

I've never owned a "fashion" watch though.

I might wear an omega or a Rolex more these days, but I still wear a $16 Casio fairly regularly.

Don't really have the mentality that once I was able to afford more expensive brands, the less expensive ones were beneath me.

What Watch Brands Have You Gone Through?

Swatch (middle school), Fossil (high school), Victorinox (college/grad school), Bulova (first real job), Baume & Mercier (first trip to Switzerland), Raymond Weil and more Baume & Mercier (bitten by the collecting big, but still uncomfortable spending big money on a watch), Omega (the floodgates open), JLC & IWC (first big bonus check), TNT (first "subscription" watch), more Omega (bit by the limited edition it'll sell out I want it I want it gotta get on the list at the boutique bug), more JLC (first time using Chrono24 for an overseas dealer - first big money mistake), Seiko (gotta rein it in), Omega (gotta save for the wedding, so only allowed to trade), A Lange & Sohne (the big buy for the wedding)

I'm old enough so that most were bits of junk I forget. My "real" watches went Tissot (about 10 years ago) then in a single year, Tudor, Rolex, Grand Seiko. Will be pausing for a while, then another Rolex.

I wish I could remember my watches from my childhood

My earliest memory was picking a digital Casio out from the Argos catalogue with my mum. (One for the Brits there )

Skip a few years....

Then Omega & Rolex.

Various Timex Ironman watches as a wee lad. A Seiko Kinetic during my teen years. Then, a Tag Link for college. Currently, I'm rotating between Rolex, Tudor, Omega and Casio.
