Tudor 79090

A recent pick-up - I'd really appreciate your take on whether this all looks legit and in particular the condition of the case.

I can take some pics of the movement as well.

It's my first ever sub

What are the first few digits of the serial. Looks mid 1990s or maybe a newer lumin service dial. Nice watch.

It’s b622 and it has papers suggesting it was bought in the mid 90s, exactly as you say. So I guess this checks out (?)

Nice watch. Do the hands match the dial lume, or are they more yellow. Very nice and fun watch.

In the pictures they do like slightly different but in person I’d say they are the same.

I just noticed the bezel pip glows quite strong, so I assume that’s a replacement.

Congratulations on a great pick up, I really like the 79090 & looks to be a good example to me. I have a 89 blue ,& the patina on these watches varies quite a bit, so its hard to say if the dial is a service replacement or the bezel insert .

I’d love to have found a blue one but they seem quite hard to find as well. I really wanted the plexi mainly - I think that makes all the difference.

Is it quite common for the edges of the lugs to show the wear like in the 4th picture? It’s most noticeable on the right hand side ones. I’m assuming it’s the result of the bracelet grinding against the lugs(?)

here's another pic - see left lug:

The 7021/0 I am wearing has that. Mine had a bad aftermarket band on it and it eroded the lug. It is a condition Minus, but I don't really care about it.
