Should I Upgrade my DJ

I have been wearing the 116300 DJ II 41mm for the past few years and love it. Should I consider upgrading to the new 126300 DJ 41? Would like to get your thoughts!

Interesting question. I was at my AD to look at a DJ41, he got me all lathered up over a new old stock DJII. I'm really thinking about it.
So, from my standpoint, give it consideration, but I don't necessarily think it's an upgrade.

If you love it, then no.

Technically it may be a upgrade in terms of a new movement with a longer power supply, but I don't think that's reason enough to give up a watch you love.

If you love the DJ41 more, then yes.

Here's my thought: If you're not sure, then the upgrade you're considering isn't what you really want. Chase your grail.

Lemme get this straight. You have a faithful wife that loves you unconditionally and now you want to 🤞so-called upgrade 🤞 to a younger sexier slimmer woman with even smaller #*#$ ?

Soooo...Are you really falling Out of Love with her ?

I would never trade in the wife. That could get me in trouble!

Keep the DJ2.

Whilst I like the DJ41, I prefer the DJ2. It has a more modern and youthful look that detracts just enough from the traditional DJ36 look which is also embodied in the DJ41.

I sense flippers remorse coming if you make the switch.

If you prefer the slimmer bezel and markers then sure.

I didn't like the DJ2 because it felt too big for me personally. If you love it then don't let it go, if you're looking for the slimmer proportions that make the DJ41 seem smaller than 41mm then I say trade!! I love mine plus you have the jubilee option which I chose and the movement is proving to be pretty amazing.

For me it would all be about appearance and wear. I like the DJ II and have owned several over the years but could be tempted with the new DJ41 with the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel. Enough of a change visually to consider a trade. But the DJ41 on the oyster bracelet would not move me to trade.

I would only trade if I was totally out of love with my old piece AND if I wasn't taking a significant loss. IMO, the new features are nice but not USD1000 or more nice.

Whats the reason for the upgrade? Because you're itching for something new?
