It’s a bit rough and one lug looks rounded. But the way prices are going up you could have it reworked and be ok, if you plan to enjoy wearing it. I would not buy it to flip it, because it needs a service and full work on the case and insert. Gonna need an insert and you should get all 3, so you have pepsi, coke and black, IMO. Remember import taxes. That could drive up the cost and make the deal a loser.

What did you decide? Gotta say would have made an excellent project/investment.

I don't like the look of the coronet on the clasp.. or the depth of the false link grooves. Clasp is fake in my opinion, and I'd question the rest of the watch. Sorry to be negative as I love the 16710 I understand it's well worn but that clasp looks nothing like mine.

Thanks for the comments guys. I bought it a few weeks ago and had it checked out by two authorized rolex specialists. I have since sent the bracelet off to Michael in HK to be given a once over.
I plan to wear it, so I will buy a replacement bezel at some stage. Picked up the correct box etc from a collect here in OZ. In total it cost me $7300 AUD, minus the $150 I got for the modern wave box ;) |
