Beware: My Rolex after service at RSC Milan, Italy

For those who live in Italy I'd strongly recommend to avoid local Rolex service
Here is my 214270 (bought new at May 17) after RSC Milan *the only service in this area
Untitled.jpg
Sctraches on back case (wrong transportation in paper bag without cushion)
Grey dirt in notches of back case
Scratches on lugs after bracelet removal (in all 4 corners)
2.jpg
Accuracy: before -1 sec/day after +4 sec/day in position face up

I'd like to hear if service in other european RSC any better
Thanks!

Beware: My Rolex after service at RSC Milan, Italy

Sad to say I had almost exactly the same service from RSC here in the U.K. on my nearly new DJTT.
Rolex didn't even have the good grace to apologise - let alone put things right.
Fortunately I took photographs before the watch went off and my AD was good enough to refund. This was very good of them but it was a 50th birthday gift from my mum having helped her through cancer treatment.
Wouldn't buy another new Rolex based on their attitude or service - and I've enjoyed them since I was 21.
I hope that you get yours sorted out soon.

Gee wiz, that looks bad.

Why did you send a brand new watch in for service? Especially running at -1 sec/day.

I hear and see nothing but outstanding work from the RSC in Koln in answer to your question.
Did you complain already to the RSC in Milan ?

Thanks - she was very fortunate to get a fantastic medical team supporting her.
Regarding the watch I was seriously hacked off - but Cancer is a great way to put things into perspective!

Send it back and tell it you don’t pay for this extra service to scratch your watch!

you are not to blame for the poor quality result but as others have said sending your watch in because it was -1 is absurd. in fact it is borderline unacceptable behavior.

I was so focused on consequences of service that I forgot to mention the reason of service: all of sudden watch start losing around 2 minutes per day ( see pic)

No, I didn’t complain because
1) unlike adg31 I too relied on RSC qualification and didn’t make photos of watch before shipping
2) even if I will complain to RSC, 100% they will offer to send watch for another 6 weeks for polishing and accuracy setting . I don’t want to polish my new watch, since I’d like to keep some “sentimental” scratches and dings) I don’t want to wait so long again.

So always make a detailed photos of watch before service or bracelet adjusting

May I ask what app this is you’re using to check the accuracy? Thanks

That's very poor, my friend had a mall watch cabin size his cheap bracelet and there was hardly a mark even on the polished areas.

Regardless of why you sent your watch in for it to come back like that is 100% unacceptable. I would hope Rolex would make good on that.

I only sent my watch to an RSC when it was under warranty. Now, I only send it to Official Time Watch in Salt Lake City, Utah. 40 yrs experience in servicing Rolex and Omega watches. 3 week turn around! Will be returned in Showroom new condition or they will keep your watch in the condition you sent it in, your choice. However, you definitely will not have any scratches or dings on your time piece. Leo, the owner, is very meticulous about his work, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Good luck...

Good luck with that; they really don't care and simply try to pass everything on to their long suffering AD network.
I even tried calling in to RSC St James last time I was in town.
Lovely offices in a prime position with many floors and lots of people - but sadly no one available to discuss the damage with other than a receptionist!
Waste of time - move on.
This, I think, is their plan...

I tend to agree. By the way, I tried to find on the Rolex website any contacts of Rolex representatives except AD and not succeed

Look, it's not a good result, but it did happen on the back of the watch so no matter. Don't RSC have the double-pronged bracelet removers? Shouldn't happen with those.

I sent twice mine and had no complaint.

Sorry to hear your bad experience. This should not happen. Hope you can clarify this with your AD.

Sorry to see, that's pretty bad work right there

RSC will be able to take out the scratches for you, but it will involve some time and effort on your part.

Good luck

Edit: I see that s RSC, wow

Best regards,
Glad to hear that results are positive, but this kind of stuff sometimes may happen so, as I said, please take the pictures and learn the condition of watch before handling to AD or RSC
As for scratches, I can live with it, considering that they are on the back side of watch.
